In order to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) the Bahamian government has declared a national state of emergency and has implemented a mandatory national curfew and shutdown of all non-essential businesses and services. Pursuant to the government's general order, Goombay Labs will temporarily suspend all domestic operations until the curfew has been lifted.

The general order means that no business, outside of those being listed as essential services - the armed forces, medical workers, etc - will be allowed to operate. Therefore, Goombay Labs has temporarily suspended all production, domestic delivery, and order fulfillment operations until the curfew and mandatory shutdown order has been lifted.

Please note that all customers who would have placed orders destined for the USA and Canada prior to April 3rd, 2020 would have had your items dispatched to EMS already and should be en route for delivery. For all orders placed after April 3rd, domestic and international, your items will experience delays as EMS has advised us that some international mail services, and all domestic mail services, have been suspended in light of COVID-19. Our customer service team has already begun to reach out to those customers whose orders would have been affected by the service disruption.

We are currently liaising with all of our logistic partners to keep abreast of the unprecedented actions countries and governments around the world are taking to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. We will communicate to you as soon as we get clearance to resume normal logistic operations.

With the hope that COVID-19 will quickly subside, we will still take online orders only, and we will open up back-ordering, and pre-ordering for some items. Rest assured that we are mobilizing resources, and will be ready to dispatch all orders as soon as the general order is lifted. The world has never seen a pandemic on this scale, that moved this quickly in this age. That being said, I urge that all of our customers, exercise a degree of patience and follow the guidelines and best practices shared to you from your official health agencies. Remain indoors, venture out only if you must, remember to sanitize and disinfect all surfaces, and if you are religious, pray for the swift healing of all those infected by this virus, and for all those who have lost loved ones.
